FL Family LED Floodlight – Installation Instructions

IMPORTANT

READ CAREFULLY BEFORE INSTALLING FIXTURE. RETAIN THESE INSTRUCTIONS FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.

Fixtures must be wired in accordance with the National Electrical Code and all applicable local codes. Proper grounding is required for safety. THIS PRODUCT MUST BE INSTALLED BY A CERTIFIED ELECTRICIAN IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE APPLICABLE INSTALLATION CODE.

WARNING: Make certain power is OFF before installing or maintaining fixture. No user serviceable parts inside.

MOUNTING

(Assumes suitable junction box, with knockouts, already installed at desired location)

  1. Loosen the bolts on each side of the mounting arm.
  2. Adjust the mounting arm to the desired angle
  3. Tighten the bolts on the mounting arm to secure the mounting angle.

 

For Wall mount applications (all models: FLL, FLM, FLH)

  1. Punch out a hole in the junction box for the wiring. Drill 2 holes in the wall for mounting – use the template on the other side of this box. (shown below for reference)
  2. Use two 3/8 x 3in bolts with washers to mount using the 2 slotted holes. Secure with 6lb-ft torque.
    Bolts based on wall types – at least on bolt should attach to either a metal or wooden stud within the wall

    • Cement, Stucco, Brick walls – use 3/8in x 3in threaded carbon steel expansion anchor bolts
    • Wood walls – use 3/8in x 3in carbon steel screw
    • For other wall types, please contact LightsOnUs to confirm.

  1. Apply weatherproof silicone sealant to all entry points of the Junction Box.

For Pole mount applications

  1. Models: FLL & FLM (for mounting on a square poles 4x4in)

Use one 3/8in thread 4in inner width x 6in inner length, zinc plated, steel, U-bolt with washers to mount by inserting both ends of the U-bolt through the 2 slotted holes / around the pole. The ends of the bolts should face away from the light fixture. Place the bolt plate over the ends of the bolts. Secure with nuts and washers using 9lb-ft torque.

For Pole mount applications (continued)

  1. Model: FLM & FLH (for mounting on a square poles 6x6in)

Use one 3/8in thread 6in inner width x 6 5/8in inner length, zinc plated, steel, U-bolt with washers to mount by inserting both ends of the U-bolt through the 2 slotted holes / around the pole. The ends of the bolts should face towards the light fixture. Secure with nuts and washers using 9lb-ft torque.

 

WIRING

MUST USE MIN 60ºC SUPPLY CONDUCTORS

Universal voltage driver with operating voltage range: AC 100-240V, 50/60Hz & AC 277V, 60Hz

  1. Connect the Brown fixture lead to the LINE supply lead.
  2. Connect the Blue fixture lead (labeled “NEUTRAL”) to the COMMON supply lead.
  3. Connect the Green wire with yellow stripes from fixture to supply ground.
  4. Use a UL Listed waterproof cord grip to feed supply wires through center hole and Junction Box.

TROUBLESHOOTING

  1. Make sure the power is turned on.
  2. Check if there is voltage at the lamp fixture wires. If there is no voltage, check all connections.
  3. Check that the line voltage at fixture is correct.
  4. Check if the fixture is grounded properly.

 

 

Location:

This fixture is for outdoor use only and should not be used in areas with limited ventilation or ambient temperatures >104°F. Fixture should not be recessed. Installation in a salt air (within 1/2 mile of ocean or sea) or other corrosive environment will shorten life and void warranty.
